Nuoret nuorten asialla!

Ajattelimme lähestyä sellaista aihetta, kuin nuorten vastaanotto -ja kriisiperhe paikkojen pulaa Helsingissä sekä nuorten syrjäytymistä.

Helsingissä toimii nuorisoikäisille tarkoitettu vastaanottoperhe, jossa on paikkoja neljälle nuorelle kerrallaan. Toiminta on lyhytaikaista ja tarkoitettu auttamaan nuorta kriisitilanteessa sekä yhdessä nuoren perheen ja lastensuojelun kanssa. Tiedämme henkilökohtaisesti, että kyseisellä perhekodin vetäjällä Sari Tapionkaskella olisi kyky ja halu vastata laajennetusta yksiköstä. Ideana olisi lisätä yksikköön asumisharjoittelu paikkoja nuorille, mutta byrokratian jäykkyys, rahan- ja  tilanpuute eivät mahdollista asian toteuttamista.

Sari on toiminut työssään noin 15 vuotta ja hänen luonaan on asunut yli 300 lasta ja nuorta. Meidän mielestämme lastensuojelulla olisi mahdollisuus lisätä kyseisen perhekodin toimintaa.

Mielestämme on järjetöntä, että ihminen, jolla on kyky ja halu auttaa meitä nuoria, ei byrokratian jäykkyyden vuoksi voi laajentaa toimintaansa. Tästä syystä päätimme vedota päättäjiin teidän, allekirjoittaneiden tuella.

Tiedämme, että nuoren ja nuoren perheen kannalta olisi parasta, että jo hyväksi ja turvalliseksi koettu suhde Sarin kanssa ei katkeaisi. Asumisharjoittelu tämän perhekodin yhteydessä turvaisi hyvän hoidon jatkumisen ja tukisi nuoren kehittymistä tasapainoiseksi aikuiseksi.

Kaupungilla kulkee myös paperiversio, joihin nuoret keräävät allekirjoituksia. Tähän mennessä meillä on yhteensä jo yli 1000 nimeä.

We thought that we'd approach an issue that is very close to our lives. It concerns the subject of  young people (age 13-18) who live in short timed hostfamilies (or foster home) and shortage of these places for youngsters in Finland, Helsinki and about the exclusion of young people.

What we know, is that there is only one short timed hostfamily that takes adolecents in and it only has space for four at a time. We know from experience, that the particular hostfamily "mother" (Sari Tapionkaski") has got ability and wish to be in charge of an expanded unit. Our idea is to get a unit for adolescants who are ready to practice independent living. But this expansion isn't possible due to the  bureaucracy and lack of space and funds.

Sari has experience of over 15years as a hostmother and she has taken care of over 300 children and adolecents during this time in her short timed foster home.

We think that it's insane, that a person, who has the ability and wish to help us youngsters, can't do it because of the
inflexibility of bureaucracy. That's why we desided to turn to you the supporters to avoke the decision-makers with this important subject.

We think that it would be best for the youngster and her/his family that this bond that has been devoloped with the host mother Sari and is experienced as safe and good shouldn't be broken. There for a unit that would give the chance of independent practice of living could assist the continuation of care and would support the progress of become a balanced individual and adult.
