Ivalon terveyskeskuksen yöpäivystyksen lopettamista.
Lapin hyvinvointialueen hallitus on hyväksynyt laitettavaksi lausunnolle palveluverkkoa koskevan esityksen, jossa esitetään mm. Ivalon terveyskeskuksen yöpäivystyksen lakkauttamista. Muutoinkin palveluverkkoa koskevat esitykset heikentää pohjoisen lapin asukkaiden palveluita poiketen hyvinvointialueita kosken uudistuksen lähtökohdista ja tavoitteista tuottaa yhdenvertaisesti palveluita väestölle.
Alueen asukkaille tulee turvata perustuslainmukaisesti riittävät sosiaali-ja terveyspalvelut.
Riittävänä palveluna ei voi pitää sitä, että matka yöpäivystykseen pisimmillään on Inarin kunnan Näätämöstä 473 km, Utsjoen Nuorgamista 497 km ja Inarista 330 km, Sevettijörveltä 441 km. Matkaan menee aikaa pisimmillään jopa 6 tuntia. Ivalosta matka sääolosuhteista riippuen kestää 3-4 tuntia.
Nyt on esitetty, että viikonloppuisin olisi kiirepäivystys klo:18.00 saakka. Äkilliset sairastumiset, tapaturmat ja onnettomuudet ei yleensä satu virka-aikaan. Osin ensihoidon varaan suunniteltu päivystys voi olla riittämätön ja pahimmillaan voi johtaa ambulanssi tyhjiöön.
Palveluverkkoa koskevat esitykset tulee kohdistaa siten, että asukkaiden niin paikallisten kun matkailijoiden terveyttä ja turvallisuutta ei vaaranneta.

We, the signatories of this petition, do not consider the closure of the Ivalo Health Centre’s night urgent care service acceptable.
The Board of the Wellbeing Services County of Lapland has approved for public consultation a proposal concerning the service network, which includes the termination of the Ivalo Health Centre’s night emergency service. More broadly, the proposed changes to the service network would weaken the services available to residents of Northern Lapland, contrary to the principles and objectives of the wellbeing services reform, which aim to provide equitable services to all residents. Residents of the region must be guaranteed adequate social and health services as required by the Finnish Constitution. It cannot be considered an adequate level of service if the distance to the nearest night emergency unit is, at its longest, 473 km from Näätämö in the municipality of Inari, 497 km from Nuorgam in Utsjoki, 330 km from Inari, and 441 km from Sevettijärvi. The travel time may take up to six hours in the most extreme cases. From Ivalo, the journey can take 3–4 hours depending on weather conditions. It has now been proposed that emergency services would be available on weekends only until 6:00 p.m. However, sudden illnesses, accidents, and emergencies rarely occur during office hours. A system that relies partly on emergency medical services may be insufficient and could, in the worst case, could result in no ambulances being available in the area.” Proposals concerning the service network must be designed so that the health and safety of both local residents and visitors are not endangered.
