Tämän vuoden marraskuun 11. päivänä, Kierikki Nature -hotellin johto sai kirjeen Yli-Iin kunnalta, jossa hotellirakennusten vuokrasopimus irtisanottiin päättymään 31.12.2011. Tämä ilmoitus tuli täydellisenä yllätyksenä hotellin johtajille Coen ja Dirkje Koendersille. He ovat nyt epätoivoisen tilanteen edessä.

Yli-Iin kunnan hallitukselle lähetettiin virallinen anomus Kierikki Naturehotel Ltd:n nimissä toiminnan puolesta. Tämä anomus käsitellään hallituksen kokousessa joulukuun 12. päivänä.

Kunnan ja Kierikkikeskuksen edustajien kanssa pidetyssä kokouksessa joulukuun 2. päivänä kävi ilmi, että sekä kunnan hallitukselta että Kierikkikeskuksen työntekijöiltä puuttuu luottamus yhteistyöhön Kierikki Nature -hotellin johdon kanssa. Aiemmin vallinut luottamus ja yhteistyöhalu on katkennut Kierikkikeskuksen ja kunnan johdossa tapahtuneiden henkilövaihdosten myötä. Kierikkikeskuksen ja kunnan johto ovat pyynnöistä huolimatta kieltäytyneet neuvottelemasta.

Me, ystävät ja Kierikki Nature -hotellin asiakkaat, vastustamme tämän mukavan hotellin sulkemista. Pyydämme, että Yli-Iin kunta antaisi hotellin johtajille Coen ja Dirkje Koendersille reilun oikeudenmukaisen mahdollisuuden jatkaa Kierikki Nature -hotellin toimintaa.

Kierikki Nature -hotellin sulkeminen tämän vuoden joulukuussa johtaisi konkurssiin.

Kierikki Naturehotel deserves a fair chance.

On November 11, 2011, the managers of Kierikki Naturehotel received a letter from the municipality of Yli-Ii, they were informed that the lease contract for the hotel buildings would end at on the last day of December 2011. This message came totally unexpected to the hotel managers Coen en Dirkje Koenders. They are desperate with this situation.

An official appeal in name of Kierikki Naturehotel Ltd. was send to the municipality board of Yli-Ii. This appeal will be discussed in the board meeting of December 12, 2011

During the meeting of December 2, with representatives of the municipality and Kierikkikeskus, it has become clear that the municipality board and the staff of Kierikkikeskus have no confidence in co-operation with the managers of Kierikki Naturehotel.

The former basis of co-operation and confidence is broken, due to staff changes in Kierikkikeskus and municipality's leadership. The leaders of Kierikkikeskus and the municipality have refused all invitations for negotiation.

We, friends and guests of Kierikki Nature hotel are against the forced closing of this nice hotel. We ask the municipal board of Yli-Ii to give the managers Coen and Dirkje Koenders a fair chance to continue their work and keep Kierikki Naturehotel open.

Closing Kierikki Naturehotel at the last day of December 2011 will result in bankruptcy of the hotel.
